SUPERIOR ABRASION RESISTANCE

SAFETY IN LIFTING AND PULLING
Twin-Path Extra Slings are without a doubt the most safety conscious product available. Tests have shown that these slings, featuring high performance fibers, recoil very little at break, thereby eliminating most of the devastating whiplash effects, characteristic of chain, wire rope, synthetic web, and rope.
LITTLE OR NO STRETCH
A Twin-Path Extra Sling (TPXKS 11000 x 27 ft.-4 in.) was proof tested to 220,000 lbs. in a vertical hitch. The sling was held for a ten minute period. A total elongation of 2 inches was recorded. Low elongation works for you because Twin-Path Extra Slings are not abraded like other synthetic products, as they stretch “over” the load when the load is being lifted.
THE PERFECT PRODUCT FOR NUCLEAR ENVIRONMENTS
Information on the properties of Aramid fiber’s performance in nuclear environments is detailed in a report titled, “Radiation Effects on Organic Materials in Nuclear Power Plants” (Report No. EPRI NP 2128, dated November 1981). When Aramid fibers were exposed to radiation at the level of 1,000,000,000 rads, there was no effect on the performance characteristics of the fiber.
