Blocfor Bi-Directional Retrieval Lifelines

The Blocfor Bi-Directional Retrieval Lifelines combine fall protection and a retrieval winch. It is specifically used in confined space rescue retrieval systems.

• Dual Functionality: The device acts as a standard self-retracting lifeline (SRL), providing workers freedom of movement and automatically minimizing free fall distance. In the event of a fall, a centrifugal locking mechanism activates and arrests the fall quickly.
• Rescue Winch: By simply pressing a button, the unit can be converted into a recovery device. The bi-directional feature allows an injured or unconscious worker to be safely raised or lowered, and even moved slightly to free them from obstructions.
• Applications: It is ideal for use in various confined spaces such as storage tanks, silos, vaults, pipelines, and sewers.
• Integration: The lifeline is often integrated with other Tractel systems, such as the Davitrac or Davimast davit systems, using specific mounting brackets for secure and effortless setup.
• Durability and Compliance: The Blocfor features a durable, corrosion-resistant synthetic or cast aluminum case, anti-spark components, and a visual fall indicator on the hook. It meets OSHA, ANSI, and CSA safety standards.
• Available Models: Models come in various lengths, typically 50 ft. or 100 ft., with a choice of galvanized or stainless steel wire rope. The maximum capacity is 310 lb (140 kg).
